The Cookware Company is currently seeking an Assistant Product Manager (Hard goods) - Small Kitchen Appliances to join the team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, pays close attention to details and has excellent communication skills. Experience in product development and with latest trends in kitchen appliances is beneficial, but not required.

This position will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day processes related to development, packaging, and coordination with other cross functional groups. The Assistant Product Manager is expected to assist with key elements of product creation such as item setups, retail packaging, instruction manuals, sample coordination, competitive analysis and sharing of information with internal and external partners (Marketing, Sales, Factory, Sourcing, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and management of new and existing products, for US and other markets (as needed)
  • Help to create packaging and other literature/support requests and coordinate with internal and external partners
  • Evaluate competitive landscape and prepare market overview of new and existing items that The Cookware Company can take advantage of – using store assortments, online reviews and other available resources.
  • Submit products and surveys to internal testers for usage review
  • Request samples and related materials for new development initiatives and distribute to appropriate team members.
  • Track projects and update team on status and /or existing issues.
  • Update item setups and specifications on a timely & accurate basis, especially in our D365 system.
  • Help to coordinate Design, Development, QC & Testing matters with suppliers and The Cookware Company Asia.
  • Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to ensure that development milestones/agendas are met
  • Knowledge of small kitchen appliances and/or product development would be valuable, but is not required.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, ideally in product development of small kitchen appliances
  • Self-motivated, team player, organized, able to prioritize and handle multiple and various types of tasks
  • Able to work independently, passionate about excellence combined with efficiency
  • Willing to work in multiple time zones as needed (China, Europe, US)
