THIS IS A BANKING POSITION

We are seeking a motivated Commercial Lender I to join a growing commercial banking team. This role is ideal for a current Portfolio Manager or junior Commercial Lender who is ready to transition into a production-focused lending role. with low immediate production pressure, providing a strong foundation to learn, grow, and gradually expand the book. The position emphasizes relationship management, customer service, and disciplined portfolio oversight while developing business development skills over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned commercial clients
• Maintain strong credit quality through ongoing portfolio monitoring and risk management
• Develop new commercial relationships over time through referrals and client expansion
• Partner closely with credit, underwriting, and operations teams to support loan structuring and execution
• Focus on high-touch customer service and responsive client communication
• Assist with loan renewals, modifications, and annual reviews
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in business development activities as skills and confidence grow

Qualifications

• Experience as a Portfolio Manager or junior Commercial Lender within a bank
• Exposure to commercial credit, underwriting, and portfolio management
• Strong relationship management and customer service mindset
• Desire to grow into a full commercial lending role and develop a book of business
