Title: Community Engagement Specialist

Reports to: Oral Health Navigation and Community Engagement Manager

Location: Assigned region within Route 9 area (TBD)

Overview:

Responsible for community-based outreach to promote the MassHealth Dental Program and improve oral health among members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with local organizations to promote dental services and health education.
• Conduct outreach events, trainings, and direct member engagement (in-person and phone-based).
• Support referral pathways and distribute oral health materials.
• Partner with dental providers and represent the program in community coalitions.
• Track activities and meet monthly engagement goals.
• Work collaboratively and contribute to a proactive, outreach-driven team.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills and cultural competence.
• Experience in outreach, public speaking, or community health (preferred).
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends.
• CHW certification and/or bilingual skills a plus.
