Job Description

Construction Scheduler

Are you an organized, detail-driven professional who thrives on keeping projects running smoothly? Join our fast-growing team as a Construction Scheduler and play a critical role in building our future!

About Us

Perimeter Security Group (PSG) is a leader in the design, procurement, installation, and service of advanced physical security solutions, including automated gates, crash-rated fencing, anti-climb barriers, access control systems, bollards, and security perimeter systems. We serve commercial, municipal, residential, and high-security customers, often working on mission-critical infrastructure and custom-design projects.

Construction Scheduler Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for design, fabrication, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of PSG’s projects (gates, fences, access systems, etc.).
  • Use scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) to build and monitor critical paths, resource loading, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate with Project Teams: Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, Subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that work is completed on time and that project milestones are met.
  • Prepare schedule activity status, reporting, and narrative for project management and owner. This includes verifying and managing project log schedule information.
  • Conduct weekly meetings to update the construction schedule with project managers and field supervisors.
  • Analyze the critical path to specific activities and identify variances from previous baselines.
  • Track and Report Delays: Identify, document, and communicate delays and their impact on project deadlines. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project schedules, Capacity Overview, change management, and timely team notification.
  • Ensure schedules comply with contract requirements and reporting obligations (e.g. for government or high-security clients).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in construction scheduling—preferably in security infrastructure, perimeter systems, civil, or industrial construction.
  • Strong proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
  • Familiarity with construction means, methods, sequencing, and resource constraints (labor, materials, equipment).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving schedule issues.

What PSG Offers

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives.
  • Opportunity to work on distinctive, high-security, high-visibility projects.
  • Growth path and professional development within a company specializing in advanced security systems.
  • Collaborative culture where your scheduling expertise directly impacts project success and client satisfaction.
  • Occasional travel to job sites and client locations as needed (within region).

If you’re ready to build your future while helping safeguard critical facilities, apply today and join the PSG team.

We are a Drug Free company and require Pre-employment and random testing.
