Job Description

We are searching for a Product Development for a dynamic and fast-growing fashion brand based in New York City, committed to delivering high-quality, trend-forward apparel to our customers. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory and Operations Assistant. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for fashion and a knack for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is 5 days a week on-site in Manhattan.

Must have production assistant experience within a fashion industry

Role Overview:

As an Product Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and tracking inventory, purchase orders, and production timelines to ensure our apparel operations run efficiently. You will work closely with the operations and production teams, supporting all aspects of the apparel lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Track and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations. Ensure products are appropriately stocked and stocked items are updated regularly in the system.
  • Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
  • Production Timelines: Assist in managing production timelines, ensuring all milestones are met and delays are communicated effectively.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records for all orders, deliveries, and inventory movements. Prepare reports to update stakeholders on inventory status and order progress.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during the ordering or shipping process.
  • Quality Control Support: Assist in ensuring products meet company quality standards before being dispatched.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in inventory management, operations, or a similar role, ideally within the fashion or apparel industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and other relevant systems.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of fashion production processes and timelines is a plus.
