Job Description

As the Finance Manager , you will take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting, while also supporting treasury, cash flow management, and broader finance responsibilities. This role is highly visible, working directly with the CFO, Controller, and operations leadership to drive performance and provide strategic insights that guide decision-making. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and strategic, comfortable building models, analyzing performance, and engaging with executives, project managers, and external stakeholders.

What you will do

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Provide variance analysis against budget/forecast and identify performance drivers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for budget to actual analysis.
  • Create dashboards, KPIs, and management reports.

Finance and Treasury

  • Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity planning.
  • Partner with CFO on banking, bonding, and insurance compliance requirements
  • Contribute to shareholder reporting, tax planning inputs, and S-Corp compliance.

Business Partnership and Strategy

  • Collaborate with operations and project management to evaluate project profitability.
  • Support contract and subcontract financial reviews and risk assessments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve margins and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement and Systems

  • Enhance financial reporting processes and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Accounting and Operations to ensure alignment.
  • Support the month-end close process, including tasks and annual audits as needed.
  • Support the Accounting department with other tasks and projects as business requires.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, CPA, OR CFA a plus.
  • 7-10 years of finance/FP&A experience required , in construction highly preferred .
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling required.
  • Familiarity with construction finance concepts including WIP reporting, job costing, and backlog analysis highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems skills: ERP experience (Viewpoint) preferred .
  • Experience in banking, bonding, and insurance compliance for construction firms preferred.
  • Knowledge of multi-state tax and S-Corp shareholder requirements preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Well organized with strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines consistently required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and confidential information with discretion required .
  • Willingness to submit to a comprehensive background check required .

Compensation & Company Benefits Include

This is a full-time, exempt position. The compensation for this role is $185,000-$200,0000 annually and is based on experience and skillset.
