LOCATION: Houston, Texas

We are seeking a highly experienced Oil and Gas Domain Functional Consultant to support business development and strategic initiatives across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and oilfield services (OFS) sectors. This role will play a pivotal part in enabling growth through the development and promotion of industry-aligned solutions, supporting both existing client engagements and new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with account and sales teams to create proactive, value-driven propositions across new and adjacent areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and contextualize existing offerings for the oil and gas industry; design and develop new industry-relevant solutions.
  • Manage the full offering lifecycle — from conceptualization, branding, and positioning to ongoing enhancement.
  • Define short- and long-term strategy for the sector to achieve a leadership position in oil and gas consulting and services.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Presales teams to identify and pursue new market opportunities.

  • Strong business knowledge in upstream domain processes — particularly within Oilfield Services and Owner/Operator environments: Drilling, Completion, Production, Asset Optimization, Reliability Engineering, etc.
  • Experience with Petro-Technical applications is essential.
  • Exposure to R&D, Product Development, Product Lifecycle Management, and Manufacturing in OFS is a plus.
  • 13–15 years of experience in the upstream domain with an OFS company or an Owner/Operator is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven industry credibility and thought leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and persuasive communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel based on business needs.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized institution, preferably in engineering, geosciences, or a related technical/business discipline.
