Our client, a US Fortune 250 company and a global medical technology corporation serving customers in Clinical Labs, Health care research & Pharmaceutical industry, seeks an accomplished Lab Technician II.

** LOCATION: Onsite Role 75 N. Fairway Dr Vernon Hills IL 60061

** DURATION: 12 months +

** WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 am to 3:30pm (Mon- Fri)

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr. - $26.00/hr. (depending upon experience)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lab Technician II supports daily test lab operations, equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV) development, and lab engineering projects. This role involves performing bench-level engineering tests for design verification, stability, feasibility, and test method development, while working under moderate supervision.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute moderately complex test requests with minimal assistance; develop proficiency across lab testing functions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test inconsistencies with minimal supervisor involvement.
• Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ) and test method validation development.
• Contribute to test method development (TMD) and verification/validation teams.
• Coordinate and lead test requests as assigned by supervisor.
• Develop expertise in one or more areas, such as:
• Environmental chamber supervision
• Aging program coordination
• Equipment maintenance and calibration
• Test procedure maintenance
• Tool and fixture design
• EHS representation
• Maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
• Support process simplification efforts within the testing lab.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Hands-on laboratory experience in testing, equipment qualification, or related functions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with GLP, GDP, and EHS practices.
• Technical proficiency in laboratory operations, instrumentation, or test procedure development preferred.
