Job Description

VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring five LOGISTICS CLERKS to provide support in Auburn Hills, MI. You will assist as part of a team performing customs and logistics administrative duties. This position is perfect for someone looking to start or continue their career in supply chain management.

POSITION TYPE: Full Time. In Office. Contract position expected to last 4-6 months.

PAY: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour based on education and years of experience. Higher rate is available for a senior level person with degree and directly relevant work experience.

Requirements of the Logistics Clerk:

  • Recent graduates with a bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business, are desirable.
  • Will also consider experienced candidates with or without a degree.
  • Knowledge of logistics, customs, tariffs, classifications, imports and exports, commercial invoices, or bills of lading, are a plus.
  • Highly accurate data entry skills. Ability to organize information. Strong ability to analyze data. Ability to root cause and resolve issues that arise.
  • Dependable person who has solid attendance and will see the project through to completion.

Duties of the Logistics Clark:

  • Provide support by processing customs documentation for the importing and exporting of goods. Verify the accuracy of invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
  • Complete forms required or customs clearance such as Commercial Invoices, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Origin.
  • Perform data entry related to inventory management, shipment tracking and customs documentation.
  • Strictly follow established procedures and guidelines that are compliant with customs trade regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating transportation logistics including scheduling shipments, arranging carriers, and coordinating deliveries to customers or warehouses. Optimize transportation routes that minimize costs while meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support by responding to emails, filing paperwork, and organizing documents related to customs and logistics operations.
