Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Fullerton, CA

Salary: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift – Direct Hire Opportunity

Our client, a family-owned company in Fullerton, CA, has been in business for over 100 years! They are looking for a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. In this role, you’ll help keep equipment running smoothly, troubleshoot problems, and provide solutions to improve production.

We’re seeking someone with at least 5 years of experience as a lead mechanic. If you have experience with mechanical and electrical systems, enjoy problem-solving, and work well in a team, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment, buildings, and systems, including electrical knowledge and experience with fillers, labelers, boilers, compressors, and mixers.
• Replace and repair conveyors, motors, regulators, and other equipment.
• Help manage spare parts inventory and support capital projects.
• Work with other teams (production, QA, warehouse) to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Lead and perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Train operators and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Keep the maintenance area clean and organized.
• Participate in team-building and improvement efforts.
• Lead special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a lead mechanic role.
• Experience with equipment changeovers
• Familiar with production line troubleshooting
• Experience or education in electro-mechanical systems.
• Trade school diploma or certifications are a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to communicate in English (Spanish is a plus).
• Willing to work weekends when needed.
• Self-starter who can work well with others.
• Reliable and punctual.
