Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse Manager to join a non-profit network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in New York City. This leadership position is vital to ensuring access to equitable, high-quality healthcare in underserved communities by managing nursing operations, supervising staff, and driving quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

• Active New York State RN license
• Current NYS Infection Control Certificate
• BCLS Certification
• Child Abuse Certificate

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Skills:

• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in clinical procedures, medication administration, and patient education
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and regulatory standards
• Ability to manage, train, and evaluate nursing staff

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure high standards of patient care
• Oversee clinical operations, including inventory and resource management
• Perform venipuncture, administer medications, and support patient triage
• Conduct assessments and guide staff in treatment procedures
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and support quality improvement programs
• Facilitate staff meetings and maintain regulatory compliance
• Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development
