The Impact You Will Make

The Physician Assistant (PA) plays a key clinical role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals with substance use disorders. The PA is primarily responsible for the initiation and maintenance of medication-assisted treatment (MAT), particularly for opioid use disorder, within a collaborative care team. This role reports to the Center/Area or Regional Medical Director.

  • Provide ongoing medication-assisted treatment for patients with opioid and/or alcohol use disorder.
  • Administer injectable medications including but not limited to, Vivitrol, Sublocade, Brixadi and antibiotics.
  • Assess and select appropriate treatment regimens based on clinical guidelines and individual needs.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and care team on complex cases and care planning.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of patient encounters (within 48 hours).
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff meetings, clinical training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring of new clinical staff, as requested.
  • Maintain all required state licenses, national certifications, DEA registration, and continuing education.
  • Provide coverage at regional sites as needed for vacation, illness, or staffing shortages.
  • Engage in organization-wide meetings and initiatives, including quarterly company meetings and committee participation.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of CleanSlate Centers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current NCCPA certification.
  • Active, unrestricted PA license in the state of employment.
  • DEA license.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Receptive to feedback with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Occasional regional travel may be required.
