JOB SNAPSHOT

The Project Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to assist the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager(s) and Site Manager(s) in all aspects of the construction projects including but not limited to, staff development, development of bid packages and specifications, coordination of shop drawings, submittal review and submissions, expediting material deliveries, assisting with project cost accounting, processing owner and subcontractor billings, as well as periodic project site visits. As a Project Engineer, you will be trained to successfully negotiate subcontracts and change orders and effectively direct the project administration's daily activities to ensure proper project support is being maintained

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Project Management in bidding phase with bid invites, pre-bid meeting agenda, uploading files, phone calls, scan/save bid proposals/documents, and preparing bid tabulation sheets.
  • Partner with the Project Manager/Senior Project Manager with coordinating and distributing all project information.
  • Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Coordinate and maintain subcontractor product data, shop drawings and submittals in Procore as required per contract documents.
  • Coordinate & manage the submittal and RFI process within Procore.
  • Send notices daily or weekly to vendors/ subs/ project managers, architects, or engineers needing to submit for review information.
  • Tracking issuance and review of project submittals to ensure timely coordination between all parties involved in the review process.

  • Manage and maintain all document logs keeping them up to date in real time included but not limited to: Drawing, Specification, Contract, Observation, and Testing logs.
  • Timely document field quality activities.
  • Establish and maintain the project quality files and documentation systems.
  • Attend construction and design meetings, as requested, documenting and publishing meeting minutes.
  • Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.
  • Order temporary construction equipment and material such as jobsite trailers, temporary sanitary facilities, electric meters, project signage, Federal/State required signage, etc.
  • Coordination of Operation & Maintenance Manuals with the project team for incorporation of required information.
  • Continually promote organizational change initiatives, suggests new ideas, and adapt to work within new structures and processes
  • Continually seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating value
  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for Envoy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering or similar field.
  • Must have a minimum of (2) two years’ experience in a construction environment.
  • Thorough knowledge with Gmail, Google Drive, and various Google Apps is required; being familiar with Project Management software applications like Procore and PDF annotation is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Live locally to Fishers IN or surrounding Area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a Project Coordinator or Project Engineer role preferred.
