Position Summary:

Mexcor International is looking to add Staff Accounting talent to our corporate accounting team. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and develop their upward career trajectory in Accounting & Finance rapidly alongside the company's aggressive growth.

The ideal candidate brings to Mexcor:

• A strong desire to build a career in Accounting & Finance
• 4-year BBA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with a heavy concentration of accounting hours in their degree program
• 2 - 3 Years direct hands-on general ledger accounting experience (directly responsible for general ledger Journal Entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Monthly Close); preferably in a high transaction volume, fast-paced environment
• Understanding of and proficiency with ERP systems, data analysis solutions, and the Microsoft Suite of products.
• A professional team member hungry to be part of a team, continuously learn, and contribute to the performance, growth, and improvement of an Accounting & Finance department and national Shared Services team.

Position Expectations :

This is a heavy general ledger accounting position, preparing and posting journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, preparing variance analysis for management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate monthly financial close journal entries, fully substantiated and reconciled balance sheet accounts, assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements, support external auditor requests, and participate in meetings with business leaders to better understand the business' transactions in order to add clarity to financial results and trends. It is essential that the candidate can demonstrate during interview recent direct hands-on general ledger experience, analytical abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
