JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated Sr. Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting one of our client's premier programs. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in clarifying requirements, conducting systems engineering analyses, developing algorithms, defining interfaces, and performing validation and verification. This is a hands-on opportunity to directly influence key technical decisions and ensure mission success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Technical Analysis and Use Cases: Conduct in-depth analyses, create system use cases, and determine how the system will function in various scenarios.
• Requirements Decomposition and Interface Definition: Break down complex requirements, define system interfaces, and guide the test team on validation and verification strategies.
• Engineering Support and Test Execution: Provide technical direction for test processes, including test architecture design, baseline definition, and subsequent verification and validation activities.
• Regression Testing and Baseline Management: Oversee regression testing across multiple deliverable releases, maintaining strict adherence to project baselines.
• Technical Collaboration: Participate in technical reviews and interchanges, bringing forward innovative solutions and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.
REQUIREMENTS
• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Systems Engineering Lifecycle: Demonstrated experience in areas such as operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis or synthesis, interface definition or control, and verification and validation
• Government Contracting: Proven track record on government contracts with familiarity in Agile and DevSecOps environments
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Communication and Teamwork: Strong oral and written communication and collaboration skills
• Satellite and Mission Management: Experience in satellite command or control, mission management, or planning
• Agile Toolsets: Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and other Agile platforms
• Requirements Tools: Experience working with DOORS or similar requirements databases
• DevOps or DevSecOps: Background in iterative development processes
• Scripting: Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages
