Adden Energy is developing sulfide solid-state batteries for automotive and consumer applications and is located in the Boston Area. Our technology is based on leading research from Harvard University and our team is backed by prominent venture capital investors.

We are looking for a Senior Solid-State Battery Scientist to join our growing technical team and work to scale our technology. As a key member of our team, you will make a substantial impact on the company’s future and set the stage for how we build batteries for years to come as we work to make a positive impact on climate change.

What you bring to this role:

• PhD in chemistry, material science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and/or testing pouch cells (100+ mAh)
• 2+ years of experience with sulfide solid-electrolyte
• Enjoyment working with solid-state and lithium metal batteries at pouch cell scale
• Ambition to build a distinctive product and disrupt an industry with large incumbents
• A desire to hold your own in a fast-moving environment alongside highly technical peers
• A desire for hands-on work in a laboratory environment
• A passion for product development, technology scale-up, and clean energy

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience establishing and working with pilot lines for battery technologies
• A history of synthesizing and testing sulfide-based solid-state electrolytes
• A deep understanding of batteries and sulfide solid-state electrolytes
