Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Dent Assessment: Assess the extent and type of vehicle damage to determine the most appropriate repair method, whether using traditional techniques or Paintless Dent Repair (PDR).
  • Paintless Dent Repair (PDR): Utilize specialized PDR tools to remove dents, dings, and minor creases without affecting the vehicle’s paint or finish.
  • Traditional Repair Techniques: Perform conventional dent repair including sanding, filling, and prepping surfaces when PDR is not suitable.
  • Repair Accuracy: Complete repairs with precision and attention to detail, ensuring work is finished within agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Surface Preparation: Assist with prep work including cleaning, taping, or sanding prior to repair or painting.
  • Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine checks and clean-up.
  • Quality Control: Conduct final inspections of completed work to ensure factory-quality finishes and customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all repairs, including before-and-after photos, damage reports, and work performed.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Shop Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other technicians, painters, and supervisors to maintain an efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Traditional Dent Repair and PDR Technician
  • Skilled in both PDR and conventional dent repair techniques
  • Solid understanding of automotive repair tools and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to make repair decisions independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy equipment and perform manual tasks
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in dent repair techniques is a plus
